Tips Aman Berinternet Ria di PC atau Laptop : Walaupun menggunakan PC atau laptop sendiri, tidak berarti kita boleh “sembrono” ketika sedang berselancar di internet atau pun ketika sedang membuka email. Mungkin tidak kita sadari telah ada “penyusup” yang “mengintai” PC atau laptop kita untuk mencuri data penting milik kita. Oleh karena itu, Anda jangan kaget ketika tiba-tiba email atau account penting lainnya tidak bisa Anda akses. Anda pun tidak boleh marah ketika banyak “perusuh” (virus, Trojan, spyware, dan sejenisnya) mengobrak-abrik PC / laptop yang menyebabkan semua program atau data penting milik Anda tidak bisa dibuka atau menjadi rusak.
Oleh karena itu, agar Anda dapat berinternet ria dengan nyaman dan aman, tidak ada salahnya untuk menyimak tips-tips berikut ini.
Pertama, carilah ruangan dan tempat duduk yang nyaman. Jika harus membuka situs yang sangat privasi, Anda dapat mencari ruangan yang aman dari gangguan anak-anak atau bahkan isteri Anda. Ketiga, Anda dapat mengaktifkan program atau tool semacamdeep freeze yang dapat mengembalikan system PC seperti sedia kala sehingga ketika system terinfeksi virus / Trojan maka setelah PC direstart, system akan menjadi bersih kembali seperti semula.
Keempat, pastikan Antivirus Anda telah diupdate secara berkalakarena antivirus yang terupdate akan dapat mengenali virus/Trojan yang baru sekalipun untuk kemudian dapat membersihkannya. Walaupun virus dapat kita bersihkan atau kita atasi namun jika benar-benar telah menginfeksi PC kita maka hal tersebut dapat menyita waktu, pikiran, bahkan biaya yang tidak sedikit. Oleh karena itu, sebelum hal tersebut menyusahkan kita, lakukan update antivirus kita secara berkala dan sesering mungkin.
Kelima, gunakan firewall untuk melindungi PC dari worm, hacker jahat, Trojan, malware atau spyware lainnya. Jika Anda pengguna Windows XP (SP2), Anda dapat menggunakan fasilitas firewall bawaan Windows tersebut. Jika kurang “puas”, kita dapat mencoba menggunakan firewall yang lain baik yang gratis maupun berbayar. Yang gratis antara lain, Comodo Personal Firewall, Sunbelt Personal Firewall, Mcafee Personal Firewall, dan masih banyak lagi lainnya yang dapat ditemukan di internet.
Keenam, jangan pernah tertipu dengan email palsu yang mengatasnamakan website bisnis tertentu. Biasanya email tersebut menyarankan penerima email untuk mengklik link yang disertakan dalam email tersebut termasuk menyuruh kita untuk mengisikan username & password.
Saya pernah mendapatkan email palsu serupa. Email palsu tersebut berasal dari “paypal gadungan” yang berisi peringatan bahwa account saya di paypal menjadi limited (tidak dapat melakukan transaksi keuangan). Agar tidak menjadi limited, maka saya diharuskan mengisi ulang data-data pribadi termasuk username & passwordnya pada account paypal tersebut. Namun ketika itu saya curiga, karena setelah saya perhatikan dengan seksama, ternyata URL yang saya klik tersebut bukan URL paypal. Lebih lengkapnya dapat dilihat di sini.
Ketujuh, jangan pernah membuka attachment email dari orang yang tidak kita kenal karena mungkin saja attachment tersebut berisi virus atau spyware lainnya yang dapat membahayakan PC kita.
Kedelapan, pastikan Anda sesering mungkin mengganti password. Walaupun hacker dapat menemukan username/password kita, namun jika kita telah menggantinya maka hacker tersebut tidak akan dapat berbuat apa-apa. Untuk keamanan password ini, sebaiknya kita tidak menggunakan tanggal lahir atau nama kita sebagai password, jika perlu buatlah password sepanjang mungkin asalkan kita dapat mengingatnya.
Kesembilan, untuk keamanan, sebaiknya kita mem-bookmarkterhadap website-website tertentu (situs bisnis online dan sejenisnya) dan membukanya hanya melalui fasilitas Bookmark(favourite pada IE) tersebut. Hal ini dapat mencegah "jebakan" untuk "dibawa" ke situs lain yang mirip yang dapat mengecoh kita sehingga akan membahayakan password/account pada website bisnis tertentu milik kita.
Kesepuluh, setelah selesai, pastikan Anda menghapus cookies dan history di browser yang Anda gunakan. Fasilitas Cookies danhistory ini menyimpan jejak atau kegiatan ketika kita berselancar di internet. Kedua fasilitas tersebut sering dimanfaatkan olehhacker untuk mendapatkan informasi penting di PC kita termasukusername dan password. Atau bisa juga digunakan hacker untuk menyertakan file-file di cookies dan history tersebut untuk memantau segala aktivitas kita ketika berinternet.

Terakhir klik dimana saja select New -> Integer. masukan “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” pada prefence name, Lalu ubah nilai menjadi “0″.
